Hi my name is lashawna york, I am a mom of 4 and married. I learned last year that i was born with a condition known as marfan syndrome. I have spontaneous pneumothorax (my lung collapses when it wants to.) I also have congenital blebs (air filled blisters that are on my lungs) I have had 3 recorded episodes of my lung collapsing. My most recent one was on June 6th of this year. The surgeon I have wants to perform the surgery to try to fix this so I don't have lung collapses anymore. My surgery was schedule for Friday July 22nd but do to not having the funds they cancelled it. They called me up this past Friday telling me they want 1000 dollars up front for this surgery. I do not have that kind of money. I really need help with this. I have had lung collapses since I was 18 but did not know what was going on I was told when I was 19 I had arthritis. It was not till last year when they found out what was really wrong with me. Please I can use the financial help in this manner with donations or financial aid. I live in a small town in Arkansas called berryville. I have gone through great lengths to get help with this matter. The state of Arkansas does not offer financial assistance on this. I have even contact my governor. I am applying for disability but have not heard anything on that. That can take forever to get my medicaid and medicare so i can have medical coverage. I am uninsured and can not afford insurances. please anyone help if you have any information.
